little update

things have been up and down for me, but tomorrow my mum and I are going to be retreating to a small chalet our family owns in the middle of the highlands here in Scotland, where there’s no signal or people or anything. while I’m there I’m just going to read and listen to music and drink good malt whisky and it feels like I’m doing a Justin Vernon circa 2007 when he wrote “For Emma, Forever Ago” for Bon Iver. and if it worked for him, it can work for me too x

You know those packs of kielbasa you get at the store that are like

Growing up, my mom would get that a lot as part of dinner. And in those earliest memories, all the way until I moved out of my house, the only thing she ever called it was Donkey Dick.

She'd say she was making Donkey Dick for dinner, or that she had to pick up some Donkey Dick from the store. It happened so often and so regularly that the phrase "donkey dick" doesn't even register to me as obscene. I love donkey dick.
