Rob, I still don’t know why Sadie fired me, do I?

Robert’s the supportive boyfriend with Katie applying for the King job. Tamsin shows up at the garage under the pretext of looking to buy a car and gets a test drive (shopping) from Robert. Donna, Dawn and Katie are interviewed by Matthew and Tom for the job and it’s Katie that gets it. Robert is not amused to be conned by Tamsin and it’s Libby that has her buy drinks (reluctantly) ‘by way of payment.’

If he’s giving too much trouble, don’t be afraid to get your retaliation in first...

It’s quite an eventful episode so much so there will be three parts posted. The first part has Robert taking action against Donna especially after Andy won’t leave the house for something as simple as going to the post office for Sarah even for money.

Scene 1: Sarah asks the boys to go to the post office for her (‘there’s a pound in it for you both’) but Andy doesn’t feel like it for obvious reasons but Robert decides to go on his own.

Sarah: Oh well, forget it. I’ll pop down there at lunchtime.

Robert: No, don’t worry. I’ll go. There’s someone I want to see in the village anyway.

Scene 2: Robert goes to see Ned again for more boxing tips but Ned, in this case, provides advice, not good advice at the end imo.

Robert: What If I meet the kid in the village?

Ned: Listen. You’ve got what it takes. So unless he’s six foot tall and 15 stone you’ve nothing to worry about, have ya?

Robert: No, it’s nothing like that.

Ned: Right then, so all you need is confidence and nerve. Once you’ve showed him what you’re made of, he won’t push around again.

Robert: Right, thanks Ned.

Ned: Hey Robert.

Robert: Yeah?

Ned: If he’s giving too much trouble, don’t be afraid to get your retaliation in first. (this is the bad advice part)

Scene 3: It the scene that will cause a lot of repercussions for Robert as he confronts Donna (who taunts him about what he’d do and shoving him) and takes Ned’s advice and retaliates first - punching Donna!

Robert: You’re just a pair of bullies.

Donna: Let him fight his own battles. Supposed to be SO hard.

Robert: Leave him alone or else.

You’re just the same. Wouldn’t accuse you of stealing anything.

Scene 1: Jack and Sarah aren’t listening to Andy and his protests about cufflink and that Zoe is lying. Andy snipes at Robert it wouldn’t happen to him.

Jack: So you’re calling Zoe Tate a liar.

Andy: She given me.

Sarah: She said she didn’t.

Andy: She did! For the cufflink!

Jack: I’m fed up with this. Everyday there’s something...

Sarah: Please Andy, there’s nothing we can’t solve if you’ll just be honest with us.

Robert: I think he’s telling the truth mum.

Andy: Shut up you. You’re just the same. Wouldn’t accuse YOU of stealing anything (foreshadowing!)

Scene 2: At the pub where Alan’s having a kip and Terry pops out for five minutes for business. Donna pulls out the alcoholic pop...

Donna: This.

Robert: Pop?

Donna: It tastes like pop but it’s booze really.

Scene 3: Robert and Donna are drinking the pop while Andy wants no part of it. Robert tells Donna about Andy’s alcoholic gran.

Robert: Come on Andy, a couple of drinks won’t do ya any harm. Even mum and dad have that.

Andy: Yeah and look at them.

Donna: What’s wrong with him?

Robert: His gran that he used to live with was an alcoholic.

Donna: Well this stuff is different isn’t it.

Scene 4: Robert is drunk but Donna, on the other hand, is passed out 😬.

Robert: I am out of my head. I’m really out of my head.

Andy: Shut it Robert.

Robert: Let’s have a go.

Andy: I’m playing.

Robert: Go on (shoves at Andy).

Andy: Don’t think your hard. Your’re stupid.

Robert: Who you calling stupid. Yeah go on, get lost. Tell him Donna.

Andy: Donna?

Robert: She’s out her head and all.

Scene 5: Donna is taken to hospital. Vic blames Andy for the situation while Viv blames Terry.
