Where...the hell was she? Looking around from a much shorter perspective, Riku looked up and saw that she was near the Koi Pond....Cotes Ward? Ruffling her hair, a flash of yellow tinted orange caught her eye as she brought her arm forward. It was enshrouded in a very familiar haori. Looking down even more she was in a uniform too, with sandals and yellow-orange leg warmers.

Wait a minute-

Moving with a slightly more invigorated rate, she looked into the pond and stared at the reflection, an "Are you kidding" expression on her face.

"I switched with Zenitsu? Well I guess I can't complain that much, at least I have his...my phone number. Hopefully he isn't panicking about this." Patting her clothing, she looked through to find Zenitsu's phone...only to realize she doesn't know his password. Great. Brown eyes narrowed as she moved away from the pond and turned to walk off. Unless muscle memory took over, she was just going to have to look by hand.

         the whole band thing was a bit impromptu but it was always something sun dreamed about putting together. with hibiki’s good / bad influence ( depending how this’ll play out ), they decided to take in musical genius, zenitsu. sun on sax, hibiki on main vocals, and zenitsu on a plethora of instruments, the sunshine kids was full of talent, full of energy, and full of sunshine. and with the holidays approaching, what better time to get the band in shape than performing at a holiday venue?

The stonework was chilled under his fingers. The weather far colder than he was prepared for. The cold air burned at him, and he tried to pull his outerwear around him. It would take more than that to make him give up, and if Giyuu was here, his other children should be.

His breath escaped him, and he knew it must have been showing from his mouth. The winters he could see he would watch it float. His only breath, nothing more and nothing less than the air escaping his lungs.

And even what little he can do seemed to have been stripped from him. With no family to guide him, no vision - physical or otherwise - he was lost.

Exhaling, he paused in his short strides, needing a moment. A hand reached out, as though by some pre-ordained fate. A haori was felt in his grasp, although unfamiliar in texture.

“I hope I am not being too presumptuous,”

“But is that a haori you are wearing? Forgive any intrusion, but something familiar grasped - even accidental - would be pleasant.”

       still a sapling as green as can be, Tanjiro has yet to learn of this island’s intricacies. So when he awakens in an all-too-familiar yet frighteningly foreign form, his primary reaction is shock. Nevermind that this isn’t his bedroom, this isn’t his body!

           This is... Zenitsu?!

         Is it the work of a demon? No... Even if his nose isn’t what it used to be, he should at least be able to pick up their trail. But he doesn’t. He doesn’t pick up anything. A passing vehicle blares its horn at an intersection outside and he nearly jumps out of his skin; since when were they that loud?

         Tanjiro can feel his heart rate pulsating abnormally and the only way he can think to remedy it is to escape. He rapidly begins to close the distance between Archimedes and Cotes, hoping to find an answer at the place he now calls ‘home’.

Napping at his place was an impromptu decision. I had grown comfortable with the mundanity of sharing my existence with him, despite how awkward I could be at times. Since days had grown so calm, I ended growing a bit careless on the possibilities of eventual doom.

Of course, my parameter of doom only had the word DEATH plastered and that was pretty much it. I didn’t consider other inconveniences or fights we would deal with, since I had faith we would be able to endure them. Therefore, I calmly let myself rest at his side as long as possible.

How foolish I had been, thinking that this would be a day like any other.

When I turn to face him, weakly grabbing the fabric of his clothes to wake him up, I irrupt the calmness that enveloped the room.

“Zenitsuuu, I’m hungryyy....” 

Wait a second, my voice..... Why do I sound so handsome!? That shouldn’t be the right way to call it, yet I was very aware this voice belonged to the only real person that had swayed my heart to the point of romancing my crude existence.

He’s resting in my body. That’s so embarrassing but also weird and I don’t want him to suffer the cruelty of living in MY body.

Just when My Melody was starting to become more comfortable approaching stray animals did she find herself in the sights of a not-so friendly dog. There was an attempt to keep the canine calm, but it was under the assumption that My Melody was a prey item.

 “Nice dogg--!!” ‘GRR!!’ Baring it’s teeth, it leapt for her, and she immediately screamed, then ran in the opposite direction. “YAAN! HELP ME!” She ran as fast as her little legs could carry her, hoping someone would save her or at the very least distract the dog long enough for her to get away. 

“NOT AGAIN!! YAAAN!”

Turns out rescuing people is hard. She doesn’t have unlimited energy, she’s getting weaker and weaker by the minute, and even her magic has been somehow limited. It’s taking all it takes for her to not give up and save herself.

But she refuses to do that. She won’t let anyone die.

As she carefully passes along another street, keeping an eye out for anyone who needs her help, she spots someone - a blonde-haired child, or at least what she thinks is a child - running around a corner.

“Wait one moment!” she calls out. “Be careful, young one!”

She gives chase around the corner and sees them climbing... an invisible structure. She has no idea what it could be in their reality - a log, a fallen building, a statue. But they move across it easily.

“Please come down!” she says. “I can protect you!”
