Black people will never progress if we continue to discount people who come from middle class families. Maybe because I come from a black middle class family I see how stupid it is to fault somebody for being born into a secure, safe, healthy atmosphere. For some reason, black people equate being poor and black as one. They're not synonmys, and if you come from a background of having to go without, you should do everything possible to bring your kids up where they don't have to know that feeling.
That's a little mans view.. reminds me of this Fresh Prince of Bel Air episode.
