Don’t make yourself smaller for people. Yes, it can be hard to find people to be in relationships with, especially for queer people, but somebody will love you again. Somebody will love you exactly how you want to be loved. There are so many people in the world who will treat you right. It’s okay to not know them yet. It’s okay to be single. Don’t settle for less. Seek out positive relationships, don’t stay in toxic ones.

If someone truly loved themselves, they’d want to be the best version for the people who care. They’d do the hard work. Because love is not about enabling toxic patterns—it’s about evolution, honesty, and mutual effort.

Reminder: Accepting someone ≠ (does not equal) tolerating abuse, manipulation, immaturity, or unhealed trauma thrown in your face. You can have love and standards.
