Do :
Thank them for trusting you, promise their secret is safe with you, ask follow up questions if theyre okay with it, make it known you are a safe space, ask if theres anything they need YOU to do, assure them that youre not judging them in a loving way
DONT:
Make fun of them for not telling you sooner, tell them they shouldve just known that they wouldn't be judged (esp if judgement was a fear), dont bully them over an embarassing secret, do NOT TELL ANYONE WITHOUT PERMISSION especially not in public, dont be rude as fuck (they just trusted you with very personal information, dumbass. Dont be a bitch.) dont hold this information over them like a weapon. Dont make them feel unloved for being vulnerable. dont force or expect them to be vulnerable with EVERYTHING.
