**I’VE JUST FOUND YOU #allah SO #please #donttakemenow #thepoetrycafe #london #uk #coventgarden Don't Take Me Now (SeemeeHearMe, Affairs of the #heart & #soul ) I know who I want to be And I want to return to You with dignity With the characteristics to please You Which I’m still perfecting for You So don't take me now During this transition When I'm still full of sin Take me when I’m almost there And when I'm pure within Take me when You know I’ve achieved What You've envisaged for me And let me come to know That I’ve done all I can to please You Send Your Angel to take my soul When I’m ready to submit and happy to go Don't take me when I still have plenty to do To earn Your mercy and gratitude Take me when I can be with You And only then, be returned to You Pray, give me the strength to make my Declaration To recite Your Holy Name Moisten my tongue with those words (Even if I’m in pain) So I can recite them with ease Like I used to when down on my knees So I can declare that there is no God but You And I can feel You calling me unto You So take me when I'm smiling to be with You When I've completed my worldly dues I've pacified my friends and family And I’m standing in worship of You Give me the best ending Your servant can wish for Make it painless, make it quick Make it so that I won’t panic O’ my Lord, don’t take me now When I’m not ready Have mercy on me And take me at the time You decide When I can run to You with no need to hide As I’ll have Your promise of the place You said You would give me by Your Grace Where You will reveal the miracle of Your Face Only then, my Lord, will I rest my case Aameen © Seemee Khan, SeemeeHearMe www.SeemeeHearMe.co.uk (at The Poetry Society)
