SENTINEL AND T-COGS. i dont think that bastard can get to his altmode for the whole ass movie. REASONING BEING:
T-cogs are organs. While they can be transplanted, they kinda need to uh. Match. and i think that Megatronus's cog is a REALLY REALLY BAD MATCH for Sentinel! it serves the function of Being An Organ and Energy Basis, but Sentinel *Cannot* fully transform using it because Megatronus's altmode/frametype/sequence/etc are so insanely different. (on the other hand, Megatronus's cog is a near perfect match for D-16) (If sentinel wanted a good match he should've taken like. Prima's)
This is also why Alpha Trion chose the cogs he did for the main four from those who remained: Micronus for Bee, Prima (Orion), Onyx (D-16), and Alchemist (Elita-1). out of who was left (the asterisk there being Dee and Megatronus ofc) those were the best matches for what he could tell for frametype/etc.
the well spat out cogs based on spark also. those are all pretty good matches. even tho in the au of mine+a friend's that this hc is most relevent to that doesn't happen. but YE.
I feel you so hard on that first note, the feral urge to yap about TFO even a year later is why I’m even in this predicament in the first place-
But I LOVE THAT IDEA. Particularly about the justification for why Alpha Trion went ahead and chose very specific cogs for each of the main four. With your theory in mind, it makes additional sense for why Bee got micronious’s specifically. As we see even cogless bro is TINY compared to the rest of the squad. So choosing the smallest of the Prime’s cogs from that perspective makes perfect sense!
Tact on Sentinel and Megatronus’s cog if we assume Megatronus was a tank or other bulky land vehicle compared to sentinel being a seeker/air based? It’s no wonder it would not be compatible.
Conclusion: EXCELLENT HC, with permission I would LOVE to adopt this too
