I one time got insanely bored at work and was calculating screen times of Marvel characters and screen times shared between characters in some of the biggest ships of the fandom ( for someone who hated math classes I do enjoy good statistics from a sociology framing)

All of this is to say- to all the people bitching about how “Yelena and Bob interact so little in Thunderbolts, so why are their storylines/relationship together speculated to be so intertwined in Doomsday” to try and cover up your tantrum about whatever ship you enjoy not being made canon

I do have some very bad news for you and that line of argument.

I don’t particularly want this to happen because I’d hate to miss the moment where they confess their feelings for each other .

But I think the funniest thing they could do in Doomsday is just have Bob and Yelena already in an established relationship.

Just a random scene where they kiss or say I love you like it’s the most casual everyday thing for them.

Maybe I’m just extremely petty but I think it would make the antis heads explode in the most hilarious of ways.

sometimes I wonder how Doomsday would've been different if Abner had been a girl (which I was considering for a while before it started), but in hindsight I think this was the right decision because in some ways I almost see him as an interpretation of western culture's fucked up and damaging relationship to masculinity-- this cis dude more or less rejecting what socialized manhood means in favor of tenderness and fragility, hiding and letting people talk over him.  I find male characters like this more intriguing than typical heroes, or even the Shy Guys Who Overcome Stuff, because I hate how the end moral is always 'be a more socially acceptable model of masculinity and your dreams will come true'

Cyril is sort of a distortion of that idea, as someone who is in a lot of ways effeminate but still feels the need to Prove Himself and Win and Be A Man and he's kind of unhinged and self-destructive as a result
