Many you heard of the Death star, FEV virus, orbital laser platforms, the genophage sterility plague and other such fantastical WMD’s of science fiction universes.
But there are real world examples of present day batshit crazy doomsday weapons that are not science fiction, they are very much real, and they will definitely kill us all in spectacularly ridiculousness and cruel ways.

Heres a little description of the weapon from a museum.
“In 1954 the united states set out to develop a supersonic low-altitude missile, dubbed “The flying crowbar”, using nuclear reactor ramjet technologies. The project was named after the roman god pluto, “ruler of the underworld”. Its mission was to develop a devastating, and virtually unstoppable, nuclear-powered cruise missile to retaliate against an enemy nation in the event of a nuclear attack. Unlike modern cruise missiles, the nuclear ramjet was designed to travel much faster, at three times the speed of sound (mach 3), and discharge up to a dozen hydrogen bombs on widely separated enemy targets thousands of miles away. Flying near the ground, the supersonic shock-wave and intense radiation emanating from the unshielded reactor world wreck havoc in its wake. Beginning in January 1957 the air breaching ramjet missile was assembled and tested in dedicated facilities at jackass flats on the navada test site. Although the performance of the reactor engine proved highly successful the next generation flight version was never built. The project was terminated on July 1 1964, because the faster and less costly Polaris missile made it unnecessary...”
