About the Death Threats made to Idols

I’ve seen a lot of people commenting about this lately, like the recent death threats that were made to different BTS members since... late May was it?

It started with Jin getting death threats because of the dating rumor with that female idol whom he was MCing with during some music show. Then followed by Jimin also getting death threats simply because he forgot to write Taehyung’s name on a chalkboard (a fucking chalkboard... what, you’ve never forgotten to write your own best friend’s name before?) even though he APOLOGIZED multiple times and I’m really sure he apologized and made it up to Tae somehow, who’s his best friend and soulmate (sadly most of the death threats made to him were from taekook shippers and Taehyung solo stans, which is why I don’t support either group).

Then Hoseok/Hobi/Jhope started getting death threats too at the beginning of June for... whichever retarded reason? Some weren’t death threats but telling him to leave BTS, and how “untalented” he is, ect (I really don’t get people, who has time for so much hate? Go get a job, do some yoga, get some exercise, drink some green tea, or get a fucking hobby geez)

I also read that someone’s been going around harassing and threatening the members of MONSTA X while they’re on tour and take some times to do individual Vlives to interact with fans. Apparently its the SAME person? Calling them things like “pigs”, “you’re so ugly”, insulting Wonho for “exercising too much” and “wait till you guys get to Tokyo--” (And I can’t imagine what other kpop groups are getting threats or being harassed too as we speak)

But now Jimin once again has been the target of more threats. (This is what? The THIRD time during mid 2018)

Like...WHY? Why would you even think of harming someone JUST BECAUSE? 

I mean i hate regaetton with the burning passion of a thousand suns, because it’s simply TRASH music with equally trashy misogynistic lyrics promoting nothing but violence (gun violence, violence towards women, violence in general). And I especially hate the cars that won’t stop driving by my house, at ass o’ clock at night, with a dozen speakers on FULL blast with the same song over and over again. But that doesn’t mean I wanna go and gun down the the artist who wrote the songs or the idiot who owns the car driving by my house.

And also I think people should cool it with the Horror AUs for awhile too. Because although it may seem like harmless fun to most, they're indirectly giving ideas to the ones who really want to cause harm. Didn't 2-3 little girls nearly stabbed their best friend to death over the Slender Man game, because they thought that by sacrificing their friend they would bring him to life? Yet here we are hyping up interactive horror AUs like BTS Outcast and  the BTSxDora one, making them trend on twitter. ect

Because ‘lol, this is so good/funny. I wish BTS would see this.’

But then when someone threatens them FOR REAL, we feel angry, disgusted, and like we about to kill somebody. Without realizing that... technically we’re being hypocrites too. The same thing happens with normal fanfiction based on real people and the main reason why whenever I think about writing fanfics that may stray a little bit into those topics, I have to stop and THINK for a LONG TIME:  “Do I really wanna write this?”, “Am I going too far?”, “Would it be inappropriate?”, “Would someone use my writing to hurt them?”

The world is full of crazy (but mostly cowardly) people and it doesn't matter how much we think we’re immune. We’re not, everybody’s fair game. We’re the ones who need to be careful.
