hi doreen! this might be a lot to ask but i’ve been in a rut as of lately and i keep wanting to watch shows but then none come to mind. i’ve watched itsay, ipytm, nitiman (save for ep 5), atots, FUTS and most of the other popular series from before 2020 ie. History. could you still recommend me bl shows/movies you think would be good? also, i know cherry magic is a pretty slice of life drama but is there actually conflict in it or does the series focus on the telepathic virgin adorable disaster coming to terms with his feelings for his boss?

it looks like you have already seen quite a bunch though haha. Aside from the ones you mentioned, some of my favorites from this year are Lovely Writer, History 4, To My Star and We Best Love 1&2. So if you haven't seen those I recommend you check them out! 😊

Cherry Magic is absolutely wonderful; there are conflicts but even those are good lol. No toxicity whatsoever, it's all about the characters and their inner conflicts and they drive the plot forward and the characters grow from them; as it should be. It's so enchanting and adorable and you should definitely watch it, you won't regret it 🥺And if you like it, I recommend you also give Absolute BL a try. It's a bit similar and also very nice!!

Additionally, I have a list with all my favorite shows that I recommend. Maybe you will find some that you don't know yet 😊 (the layout is a bit messy lol sorry)

Also since you said you've mostly seen popular dramas - I consider Love Love You (movie) and Club Friday 8 to be extremely underrated bc they got very little attention. So maybe you can check those out as well 😉

regarding your question what I recommend as a starter - it depends on what kind of shows you like; If you like cute/fluffy stuff, then I recommend you start with a GMMTV drama since they’re mostly very cute and easy to watch. I personally started with SOTUS and History 2 Boundary Crossing; but you can really pick any show, they’re all great! 😉have fun watching! 😄

Mr. Heart was so cute!!! I haven’t seen a lot of korean bls so if you’re looking for something korean specifically the only other recommendation I can give you is The Boy Next Door which is not really a bl but it’s literally the most hilarious thing I’ve ever seen lmao. I highly recommend! Where your eyes linger is a bl but it’s a bit less fluffy than Mr. Heart lol. But you can still check it out if you want! :)

If you’re looking for something short, cute and simple regardless of the country, I recommend the following:

Honey! Just finished UWMA for the first time. Trying to occupy myself between the WRU and 2gether releases. LOVED the series. But it was definitely some heavy shit. Do you happen to have suggestions for my next binge? Possibly a series that won’t have me literally crying every other episode? Could you recommend any show with excellent acting.. say on par with Theory of Love? I have already watched SOTUS and SOTUS S and the acting there was also very good all across the board but Theory of Love was a different level and I am looking for more shows like that
