dating modern!dorian would include…
nicking his clothes. dorian has a frankly excessive jacket collection, and doesn’t mind when you start wearing them as part of your own outfits. in the winter you become partial to his black trenchcoat, and you steal it so often that he starts leaving you handwritten notes in the pockets. it’s cold again today, thought you might need this. / i hope you’re thinking of me all day, my darling. / wear this and think about how i’m going to warm you up later.
he nicks your clothes. even if you have a significant size difference, he’ll make it work. dorian gives me experimental fashion sense vibes, as in he can pull off literally anything. corset? absolutely. cropped hoodie? why not. a jacket that he can’t do up? let’s give it a try.
dancing to anything. if you want to go to raves, he’s down. if you want to do ballroom dancing, that’s great—if you don’t know how, he’ll teach you, very much enjoying when he gets to touch your hands or waist. if you just want to idly bop your head as you sing along to 00s pop together in the car, he’s happy.
exchanging books, movies, music, etc. dorian is always looking for new recommendations for media, and absolutely loves digesting them in detail with you because he’s a bit of a nerd at heart. you like the way his eyes light up when he talks about something that interests him.
if you’re in school/university, studying together. just sitting in one of your rooms, you at a desk and dorian cross-legged on the bed, both absorbed in your work but comforted by the other’s presence. laptops open, notebooks and highlighters everywhere, possibly some quiet music playing. you take breaks together to make hot drinks and maybe kiss against the desk—stopping there if you have the willpower. if not, there isn’t much more studying done that day. oops.
learning what the other likes in bed. we all know dorian is freaky, probably quite experimental, but he’s also incredibly patient and respectful. he likes to focus on your pleasure a lot, making sure you enjoy yourself because that’s what makes him the most happy, so your boundaries are always followed. if you are into some of the things he likes—well, i think that would require a separate post.
