In the Other side of the mindscape, if anyone falls asleep on the couch, cuddles are up for grabs. This usually results in all three of the Others tangled together, fast asleep. Most often, Remus is there first, and then Virgil joins because he’ll take any excuse for a nap, and then Janus because he’ll take any excuse for cuddles that doesn’t involve admitting to someone that he wants cuddles.

The "dark" sides are Monster High dolls, while the "light" sides are Ever After High dolls

The dork sides live in darkness but that's only because unlike the other sides, they can see ultraviolet light. Spiders, snakes, and some cephalopods can see uv light as well as visible light.

Some things that look black actually do have color in the uv spectrum. Virgil's old hoodie could easily have patterns on it that look purple in the right light. All the black clothes the dork sides wear can have intricate patterns that aren't visible to the naked eye.

My inner angsty goblin brain: what if Virgil had one of these and it was his favourite cushion, not just because it was in those twos colours, but because the sequins a feel a little bit like snake scales when you run your hand over them right and he can almost here Remus's jokes about doughnuts and holes every time he sees it. He hugs while he falls asleep, remembering a sour Janus desperately trying to get all the sequins to all go the same way, and remus stealing it to run around the mindscape with it on his head like a very dysfunctional hat. Once it fell down the side of his bed while he was out and when he got back to his room and didn't see it anywhere at first he almost started crying right then and there and-
