Bit of a big ask but what do you think (I forget the ship name) how Storkules/DonDaisy are when any of them are sick, And also with drakepad when the other is sick?
So, when Donald gets sick, he usually just tries to push through it; done it before, it's natural to him. Rest? Donald doesn't know her. Daisy and Storkules say "Nope" and tuck him into bed. Donald doesn't even try to fight it. Mostly because his fever's too high and he was just going along with pretty much anything and everything already at that point.
When Daisy's sick, she wants to be spoiled. Donald and Storkules oblige.
Storkules... Bless his heart, so after certain events that take place in "Stolen Summer!" are revealed and some other things come to pass, Storkules, for the first time in his life, gets sick. He does not know what the hell to do with this "being sick" thing. It's awful. He's miserable. He's confounded and a little offended, actually. He complains about the injustices and indignities of being sick while Donald and Daisy take care of him, both of them saying "Yep, it sucks, now take this medicine and drink this orange juice".
With Drakepad, it's very simple. The one who is sick very grumpily and vehemently asserts that they are not sick while the caretaker one says "sure, babe, you're totally not sick" then sticks a spoonful of soup in the sick one's mouth.
Please more HC about May, June and their dad and mom
I'm not sure if I have already written any of these in my previous posts so sorry if I'm repeating myself.
-May and June love their parents equally and Donald and Daisy love the girls equally but June shares more interests with Donald and May with Daisy. Conversely, if they have a serious problem, May is a bit quicker to talk to Donald and June to Daisy.
-Daisy absolutely loves making clothes for the girls. Making trousers is not her favourite thing in the world and making overalls even less so, but for June (who I HC likes denim overalls) she would sew 50.
-Donald is, definitely the stereotypical "can't even tie a ponytail" dad. Not that the girls need help, they are functioning on the same level as a regular 13-year-old. But he would still like to learn. Alas, this ends up being one area in which Donald's dad skills fail him.
-I won't reveal when and how it'll happen because I want to try to write it into my fics, but May is the first one who starts referring to Daisy and Donald as parents, but it's a bit forced. June is the first one who starts thinking of them as such. However, this is not the same time when they start calling them mum and dad. They will, eventually, after some drama.
-on the other hand, Daisy and Donald very quickly come to genuinely consider them their daughters. For Donald, while he calls them daughters while he mostly refers to HDL as nephews (in that 'I actually see you as my sons' way), they are all equally his kids. Hell, you can add Webby to the list too.
-Do I even have to mention that if you harm even a feather on either May or June's heads you will suddenly have two VERY angry Ducks on your tail? There is one villain in particular who will learn this about Daisy the hard way.
-I still HC that Daisy has three nieces-Russi, Katie and Lizzy. Their parents are a tad air-headed and would often randomly drop the girls off at Daisy's for days, which is how she got good at child care.
-they prepare dinner and dine together while on their trip. While it is not a fixed chore division, Donald usually does most of the cooking, with June contributing more and more as the time passes, while May and Daisy set the table and do the dishes afterwards.
-they like watching family films in the evening together unless they are anchored in some harbour and end up going on a stroll through whatever town or city they are visiting
-ok, this bit off-topic, something extra, a bit of a "what if" scenario. I do ship both Dondaisy and Dorkulaisy (Donald/Daisy/Storkules). For that last one, I fully blame @ninja-librarian (in the kindest way possible). And also rewatching "The new gods on the block" for art reference reasons. I'm still unsure if I'll have them end up together in my fics, but if they do, then yes, May and June will have three parents and the dynamic will be...chaotic.
-May and June, if this ends up happening: Huh, about a year ago we had one abusive, barely functioning mother figure. And now we have a mum and a dad and we're getting...another dad? Life is weird.
-All the things written above still stand, as it would take a while for Storkules to fully embrace the dad role and when he would definitely be the most fun-loving parent. For those who watch Modern Family, he would be Phill, while Daisy and Donald are both Claire in this dynamic.
A thought just randomly manifested into my mind and I was like, “wAIT, has Storkules ever hear Donald sing before??” Then, I just had a mental image of Donald serenading Daisy and Storkules on one of their dates lol.
Still, it would’ve been nice to hear Donald sing again with Storkules present this time! You think he’d interpret Donald’s singing like how Daisy hears it or vice versa? 🤔
Okay, so...
Storkules has definitely heard Donald sing before and does indeed hear his singing the same way Daisy does. And Donald has definitely serenaded Daisy and Storkules on their dates before, as well as just at random around the house singing.
But...
Let's just say, you're really going to like my next story that focuses heavily on the OT3... :D
