I know you've seen these sketches of your babies but I just wanted to say I'm very excited and proud to see you start comics. I can't wait to see the friendship develop between these two cuties, and in particular as a bi/ace, I'm very excited to see bi and ace leads!!

School Briefs Vol 3 Light novel Review: The Best So Far
So I’ve finished the 3rd Light Novel, “Dorm Days”, and I’m pleased to say that it’s the best one yet! Seriously, this one is great. You should definitely check it out, if you’re looking for some fun and fluffy BNHA content during these dark times. It’s set between the hideout Raid and the Internships and deals with the cast moving into dorms.
It’s excellent so let’s get to why.
Story 1: The UA Staff get Drunk
The first story tells us what happened when Aizawa bought All Might that drink All Might said he owed him after the dorm visits. It’s probably the silliest outta the bunch, but it’s pretty hilarious seeing all the UA teachers getting drunk beyond drunk (cept All Might since he can’t drink) and acting goofy.
Story 2: Moving into Dorms
This one is absolutely excellent. It follows the various 1A students moving into dorms. It continues Momo’s mother’s character from Volume 2, and follows Momo as she has to choose what to bring to her dorm (remember that crazy crowded dorm room? Lol). But it’s mainly about Todoroki, and the whacky tale of how he manages to remodel his room. By running into Mei Hatsume, saving Recovery girl from her rogue inventions, and being inspired by Everyone on Rescue Squad Junior individually, meaning that the chapter has TodoIida, TodoKiri, Todomomo and Tododeku feels all in one!
Story 3: 1B show up
I get the feeling the author of the Light novels really likes 1B, or at least Monoma, Tetsu and Kendo. They show up at the dorms with Pony and play some kinda game with Class A involving one of Mei’s inventions. It seems to be based on a Japanese game I am not familiar with as a dumb American, but a few highlights are: MomoKendo getting teased again, Deku seeing that Pony has some rare all Might collectible and freaking out, and Hatsume’s invention mangling poor Kaminari.
Story 4: Spooky Stories
I read this one on Halloween actually, and that was perfect. A few classmates tell spooky stories in Tokoyami’s room and get seriously spooked. The whole class gets paranoid when Mineta hears a voice calling his name in the night like in the story and freak out; the power goes out, Aizawa gets KO’d, etc. It’s spooky but it turns out it’s an invention of Mei’s (again) made to keep Mineta from being pervy. And Aizawa reprimands them for being so irrational. I’d recently read a really disturbing scary story on the net that was freaking me out, so Aizawa really helped calm me down. This was great.
Story 5: Happy Birthday Iida
This one is just plain heartwarming and excellently told. Iida wonders why his classmates are acting weird around him, and starts assuming he Class-Repp’d them into disliking him. But it turns out they were planning his surprise party and it’s so cute. There’s teasing of all Iida ships here (Todo, Deku, Baku, Ocha, Momo) and I almost jumped outta my seat at first when the story went:
Iida (to Momo and Jiro): Did something disturb your sleep?
“Nuh uh. But last night, we...” said Jiro.
“Last Night? What happened last night?”
This was before I realized the story was about Iida’s surprise party FYI. I was for like 3 seconds going “OMG momojirou what did you DO?” (they were planning the party, obviously, but damn). On the subject of ships...
Story 6: Koda’s Bunny Ships BKDK
I swear I didn’t like this volume so much just because BKDK was in it, for the first time in any of the light novels. Totally not the reason. Anyway, this one is about Koda’s bunny escaping during the Post DVK2 house arrest, and Deku and Kacchan trying to catch it and adorably bickering with each other about how to do it. They’re still a little out of character, but the Bunny clearly approves of their relationship getting better, so it is clearly a bunny of taste and culture. (it also facilitated a cute KiriMina moment in Chapter 163, so I’m all for it.)
And Story 7, which made me drop my jaw:
Story 7: THE FANTASY AU GETS A SHORT STORY!!!!
OFFICIALLY LICENSED FANTASY AU FANFIC!!! It’s pretty basic, and of course we have lots of Fantasy AU fic already, but still, it was a serious highlight. OMG guys.
So that’s Volume 3. It’s a serious step up from Volumes 1 and 2, which are both good but very light, and a little overburdened with Mineta nonsense. All the stories worked, the characters felt more in-character, and the relationship stuff they focused on is actually exciting. + fantasy AU. All good
Buddy above has a breathing problem. (Also a cut above left eye, so it doesn't open fully.) Makes weird raspy sounds with every breath. The way he purrs makes my soul ache. Loves scratches between ears and forehead.
