Okay so. Mass Quarantining like we did in early pandemic. Anakin and Padmé are NOT quarantining together; either this is before they got together, or Anakin is in the Temple, mostly, and he's also emergency services and thus a frontline/essential worker. But! They're both still horndogs. (I recently read Meet Me at the Hotel by anidalaafterdark, can you tell?)
And Padmé is losing her mind and keeps like. Idly bemoaning to the handmaidens how she is THIS close to breaking quarantine to get some good dick.
Anyway. They eat her out and then fuck her stupid about it. If she's already married then Anakin can watching over holo, but she is NOT leaving this apartment.
Anakin's not allowed in because he'll have to leave again and cannot bubble. He's got work to do in the field.

Padme's horny but Anakin's like. Surrounded by machines and armor. He sees Obi-Wan and Ahsoka but got quarantined away from him a few weeks ago for age risks and Obi-Wan got assigned elsewhere so it's just Rex now.
It could be modern or canon, either or. I was going with canon up to now but...
If it's modern then Anakin is living with Ahsoka and Obi-Wan at first. Both of them can do their things either fully remote (Ahsoka, student) or with fairly small circles (Obi-Wan shares a university lab with two other people and they all mask and rotate to use it different days), but Anakin can't.
He is stripping outside the door and masking until the shower which he them sprays down with a disinfectant after he's done. He gets the shower after a shift because they've got a 1.5 bath apartment, but they get the shower otherwise. Obi-Wan leaves food outside his door on disposable plates, and Anakin carries his own trash out of the building and does his best to touch nothing but the bathrooms (currently set up to be easily sterilized) and his own room.
Anakin's not living alone but he sure does feel like he is!
Which is not too far from how my sister had to spend a month right at the start of quarantine because she had to fly back from Spain before the borders shut down
Padme's doing a LOT of Zoom meetings; luxury penthouse is the equivalent of her Canon dwelling, and she's there with All The Gals (or at least Dorme and Sabe), as her live-in staff or paralegals or whatever.
Anyway. Helicopter EMT Anakin with Rex as his partner. Yes
Padmé eventually gives her blessing for Anakin to move in with Rex (who has a studio apartment and was living alone) until things calm down. And fuck him if he wants.
I'm just imagining Rex giving Anakin a handjob in the chopper while they're waiting on the roof for dispatch.
ye. Two of my IRL friends are a Paramedic and EMT respectively (And got together while on the job) a fun source of drama could be Other People at their company finding out that they're involved and expecting them to find a new partner for their shift because they don't want it to interfere with their job
But in a quarantine situation they shouldn't be split up because of they're living together AND working together, that's fewer vectors of infection.
True, but employers can get weird about people fucking even if they're being safe/ethical about it. not a thing you'd have to write obviously I was just throwing out a suggestion. Their boss could literally just go "This looks like it's not my problem, so I don't actually see it. Please make sure that I don't have to see it in the future, okay? Okay."

It's a bit funny to me that this started out as "Padme is safely quarantined with a bunch of friends and just really horny" and is now also "Anakin is incredibly touch-starved and stressed out of his mind as a frontline emergency worker who is daily confronted with the mortality of strangers in the backseat of his helicopter."
The way Rexwalker happened is that Anakin mentioned his girlfriend in a work locker room one time (in hindsight Anakin probably showers at the hospital or dispatch center or whatever, whenever he can?) and Rex got all weird and went "Oh, I thought… uh, man, sorry to hear that you have to be away from her" and leaves before Anakin does (for normal reasons).
And then someone in the room is like Damn, Harsh, and Anakin asks what they mean.
And that person (IDK who, but probably a dude if it's locker room talk) says "pretty sure he was crushing on you and was hoping to ask you out on a date. we all thought you were flirting back. the girlfriend thing was out of left field."
Anakin: I'm not gay??? Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I've only ever liked women… well, one woman. And nobody else. It's only ever been Padme for me.
Which gets a lot of weird looks, but people generally move on with their lives because it's a pandemic and there's bigger shit to worry about.
Except it sticks in the back of Anakin's head until the Situation comes up in that call with Sabe and he's like "uhhhhhh so there's this guy that's really into me and I'm pretty close friends and. If Padme okays it…"
Anakin currently has ONE PERSON he can interact with physically that isn't Actively In Medical Crisis. Like Anakin interacts with patients but even that's rare because he's usually still behind the controls while Rex is the one helping people load in stretchers and whatnot.
