When there are transitioning periods in my life, I have always dreamt of my childhood best friend that passed away when we were both 20 years old. Two potential car accidents in my youth averted as she flashed in my brain and made me change lanes. Even if I haven’t seen her around lately, she’s always there. I haven’t had a visit from her in my dreams for a very long time. But Monday night, there she was. I heard a knock on my door and I kept looking through the door and windows not seeing anyone. Then I heard my sliding glass door upstairs open. There she was with a smile. The symbolic language in the dream matched many recurring themes I have been having in a constant repetition over the months. She helped me with a few tasks, tasks that keep repeating in these dreams. Tuesday, I was talking about childhood friends with a friend in my DMs, and talking to a friend about a family member that passed.
