My Grandmother was a huge fan of the paranormal. She loved anything to do with ghosts, aliens, and strange happens. She was always excited on the nights of the X-files or Twin Peaks. If she overhead me say, 'I'm bored.' She'd be there peeking around the corner with, 'Wanna watch Fire in the Sky?' 🤣 I can't tell you how many times I watched that as a teen. And best believe, being related to one of the most terrifying stories in American History through ancestry, you know she had the facts. The true story was used as a foundation for so many popular stories we know; Amittyville Horror, An American Haunting, The Blair Witch Project, The Witch, The Bell Witch Haunting, Season of the Witch, and the list goes on and on. My Grandmother told me a version that had been passed down to her and she even wrote it out for me. This version is quite a bit different than the known stories because they just used the Bell Witch as a spring board. All though they are all good, the real story is rather disturbing. Awhile ago I posted a tid bit of the handed down version. I had several people on Instagram a little upset with me. I do apologize and ask you not to read these stories if you scare easy or do not want to know about it. I will post in some upcoming captions and warn you first so you won't read on. I met another descendant a few years back and we compared stories. Interesting enough they were nearly identical and this person was a 5th cousin. I'm pretty sure what we have is the closest we will get to the origins of what happened. Give or take a few details.
