To this day I just cannot take Doug from Our Flag Means Death seriously because I'm just so used to Tim Heidecker doing weird shit on the Tim and Eric show, I just can't buy his rendition of this super sincere, sweetheart guy. So much of her story was about her finding happiness and love through other women and I think it would’ve been sooooo cute if she was canonically with Evelyn… not to mention like 90% of her paintings are of naked women.
