I think most people seem to see Mary’s confidence in standing up to Stede as her just being an awesome girlboss which love that for her but I really really REALLY also like thinking of her having the flavour of autism where you are incredibly blunt all the time… I think I just enjoy projecting autism onto my favs but socially struggling Mary who can’t not speak her mind even when not fully appropriate is so real to me

Mary Bonnet should’ve been a lesbian I’m sorry. So much of her story was about her finding happiness and love through other women and I think it would’ve been sooooo cute if she was canonically with Evelyn… not to mention like 90% of her paintings are of naked women.
