I did the sensible thing yesterday and decided to NOT complete the 6km race at Dirty Dozen, my main reason was due to the fact I'd already completed the 18km Destroyer and 12km Dirty Dozen, which my garmin clocked at almost 21 miles! Cramp was not my friend Haha, so I took the decision to not set off on the final 6km with my ambassador buddies, I was gutted as I really wanted the three distances but the day had been awesome, I didn't want to spoil it with injury What an amazing testing course both mentally and physically, I know some of you hate "the log" but carrying one for 3km over obstacles changed my race, I dug deep and kicked on, I think I gained more places on that section the rest of the course, every obstacle completed, some with good technique others just blagged ;) I loved the water section, hated the Irish tables, face planted in the stream section haha oops! Fantastic new obstacle additions from the sadistic Doug 'The Beard" Spence, loved everyone (Irish tables exempt) The course was to my style lots of long tough off road runs, then a flurry of obstacles, again the sun came out which is not good for me, I struggle in heat, but luckily there were lots of shaded tree lines :) BRING IT ON FOR APRIL 2016!! SEASON PASS FOR CHRISTMAS Please Santa I've been a good boy and only shoved a few bums over walls!! If you set off on a challenge, no matter what it is, with the right mental attitude you can achieve great things! Go out and be awesome!!! Why be anything else ;)
