The Game: Chapter 7 Part 1

Majority vote said Hosuh, however we’ll be going with Ann because I said so and I’m God.

“Ann, could I have a word with you?” You say. Ann hasn’t talked much at all through all of this. It’s pretty suspicious.

“Me?” She looks taken aback.

“Yeah. Come with me.” You turn and walk towards one of the empty rooms, beckoning for her to follow. She does, a little hesitantly. As she walks in after you, you lock the door.

“Look, I just need to ask you a few questions.”

What do you ask her?

Welcome to interrogations! This new mechanic is completely dependent on you guys! For exactly 2 hours, everybody send in what questions you’d like to ask Ann, and I’ll choose my favourites! Any questions for Ann sent after the two-hour mark will not be considered! When you’re asking a question for Ann, make sure to specify that it’s for her and not me! Your time starts… now!

Day 22 & 23: Kidnapping and Favourite Guest

All of the guests are my favourite (though JoCat holds a higher position because of dad jokes) so here’s Ann being a great friend

Progress has been made!! I decided to add Annabelle and Jenny to the team since they seem to be rather close to the DP trio and that some gender ratio had to be made to balance them all out. Unfortunately because I want to stick to the original 8-person team, Theodore (TheOdd1sOut) had to be taken off but don’t worry! He’s still in the story. ^^

As for the arcanas, I ultimately decided to give Dan, Hosuh and Stephen the Justice, Hierophant and Chariot respectively. Explanations for them and the other members are under the cut! (Warning! Very LONG!)

I’m still thinking if I should make new Personas for them or use the current ones in P5 (I don’t want to touch the canonical ones since they are exclusively for the game’s characters). Making new ones will take much longer though...

All I need now is to make a storyline, a mask and a backstory for each character... still gonna take a while but it’s still pretty fun to brainstorm about this. :3

Dan’s arcana is Justice, since most of the Persona characters under the Justice arcana are described to be concerned in matters of fairness and are stoic individuals. Also, the arcana symbolises objectivity, rationality and analysis. I ultimately decided this over Temperance because Dan’s position in DP makes him like the final judge of any choice of videos that the channel releases. He is also the game master of most of the videos and while he is not always fair, at least he tries to be.

Stephen’s arcana is Chariot, which has Persona characters who are very driven and often aggressive and short-tempered. They tend to have a personal goal that they aim to achieve no matter what and the arcana symbolises victory, conquest, self-confidence and self-assertion. I chose Chariot over Magician because of his typical attitude in DP videos, you know, ‘stabby stabby’ and what not. Also, how could I pass up the opportunity to give him a beast Persona?

Hosuh’s arcana is Hierophant, which describes Persona characters as wise and logical individuals who are often associated or obsessed with the past. The arcana represents education, authority, obedience to rules and conservatism. Now, I know this doesn’t really fit Hosuh, but I ultimately gave him Hierophant and not Hermit because the latter sounds like something that Hosuh would eventually grow into, a character that he becomes as he grows with the Phantom Thieves. Plus, anime-lover Hosuh with a gold dragon Kinryu persona? Excuse me, why would I NOT do that? XD

Jay3′s arcana is Devil because OBVIOUSLY, but the arcana is also associated with Persona characters that are ‘devilish’ in nature, having a proud and arrogant streak and an antisocial tendency as well. However, they are also incredibly devoted to a cause and and can have strong bonds with others. That’s the positive aspect of the arcana. I have a feeling that I might change it buuuuut if no one opposes it, I kinda like this arcana for Jay3.

Jo-cat’s arcana is Strength, used to describe Persona characters that have strong hearts that are rarely swayed; they are not upset easily and the arcana represents the power of self-control, courage and virtue over brute force. Like Hosuh, I imagine that Jo could potentially grow into this character as well. Also, in some videos, you realise that Jo really rarely gets upset, unlike Stephen or even Hosuh who can get frustrated sometimes.

Puffin’s arcana is Temperance which is related to Persona characters who are often struggling to find a balance in their lives and in their hobbies. It is a symbol of synthesis, prudence and harmony. Now, I COULD have given this to Dan and left Puffin with the sun arcana, but after realising that Justice fitted Dan better and that I wasn’t too sure if I could fit the sun arcana’s description with Puffin, I gave the latter Temperance instead. Honestly, this could fit any creator, but a DnD player like Puffin would definitely feel this too.

Annabelle’s arcana is Lovers, typically portrayed as a romantic relationship but also as a symbol of finding agreement with an ordinary friend or even two conflicting elements within oneself. Persona characters of the Lovers arcana are often known for their popularity, cheerfulness, high-spiritedness and emphasis on social interaction. From what I have seen online, Ann seems to be an honorary member of the DP crew even though she doesn’t make videos with the trio anymore. Hence, this arcana.

Finally, Jenny’s arcana is Priestess, which represents hidden knowledge, untapped power, wisdom and patience. They are often quiet, reserved and hardworking Persona characters who usually do not open up to others quickly. They commonly have an inferiority complex due to growing under highly exigent family members. I remember from the ‘Can you become a K-Pop Star?’ video where she talked about her sometimes tiresome work with singing and this arcana just came to me. Correct me if I’m wrong though.

Because this is a VERY long post, I’ll make individual posts explaining persona choice and nicknames later, after I solidify this idea. 

Also, yes Bella and Bellboy will be the Velvet Room attendants JUST BECAUSE- XD
