anyway, so i made gifs of my favourite parts of dead poets in nyc while procrastinating studying :)

Since we’re close to a milestone, we’ll be dropping a snippet from a song. Here are some details:

The title is “Welcome to Hell-ton”

It’s Track 2

It’s the first song we finished writing

It takes place in Neil and Todd’s dorm room and introduces the audience (and Todd) to the boys

The chorus is modelled around “travesty, horror, decadence, excrement”

The snippet will be a certain boy’s verse...

meet the creators

hi everybody! this is the official introduction to the owners of the account!

before we show you any of our content, we’d like you to meet us.

there are three of us, and we all play different roles in the construction of the musical :)

Hi I’m elli, I love dps a lot as well as avatar and love talking about it. I watched dps for the first time with one of the co-owners and thats what got me interested because of the sheer beauty that is the movie and the nice memories, attached with watching it. I am helping write some of the songs and doing the costume design.

Hi I’m Sarah! While I do love Dead Poets, I also love any music, movies and tv shows that came out in 2000s hahahaha. I really do love talking to my friends about anything and everything happening on the big screen and the small screen - it’s one of the reasons I created a Film Club at my school. Film Club is how I came to watch DPS for the first time and fall in love with the storyline and it’s amazing characters (I literally love Todd, he needs to be protected at all costs). I’m not the best at writing songs but I do contribute when I can 😊. I’m the scriptwriter for the musical and I’m also working on some of its practical elements - like set design and direction.

and i’m oriana! i’m the owner who has been making all the posts so far (and is also making this one). i discovered dps by watching it around 2 weeks ago with elli and immediately falling into a rabbit hole of dps content -- i haven’t stopped since and i hope i never will!! 

my other passions are creative writing, singing, graphic design and learning in general. (yes i am a dark academic, could you tell?) the above designs you’ve seen were all designed by me :) 

my role in the construction of the musical is lead songwriter, set designer, graphic designer and i’m currently managing the only social media we have (this one, duh). 

that’s a brief intro to all three of us. i’m so excited for this journey and for everyone to see our creations (eventually)!!!
