Update: Scarlett is 3 months old today, and I recently got a new job as CEO...
Of Dad Jeans Incorporated. - Let's rewind: About 2.5 weeks ago I received a call that my cushy, "craft" beer sales job was no more- the whole division 86'd overnight. Thanks, Obama.
Now I'm at home with Scarlett, our only vehicle: the really lightweight, manueverable, dad-friendly, Chicco Keyfit 30 stroller ; ) (that company vehicle- poof!) Moving to the burbs has its benefits- walkability to civilization is not one of them. Example: I had to walk to a Citgo to buy a canned iced coffee like a Plebian. (The walking path in the quiet neighborhood park is, in fact, one of them. Shinrin-yoku, folks, shinrin-yoku.)
I'm still doing everything one-handed; cleaning dishes, loading laundry in the drier, building a catio, filling our Dr. Brown's bottles with Similac formula, and occasionally getting to crack open a cool, delicious, Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest... typical CEO stuff.
& every moment of it has been awesome. Watching her nap. Making her laugh with goofy new tricks all the time. Watching her wonderment at the world. And to think- we couldn't do any of it w/o these amazing baby-dry diapers from Pampers- the wetness indicator, very helpful! & the 12 hours of protection really gets us through the day!
If you are 1 of 7 people reading this, check out DadJeansDude on Instagram for more frequent posts and please raise a cold, local craft beer (or MillerCoors, or Pabst, or Constellation brand brew) and enjoy these bonus days of summer along with me & Scarlett. Cheers.
