The narrative hints at this a tiny bit but Cricket and her friends actually hang around the funeral home sometimes. Cricket likes Ravi, she thinks he's a weirdo (funny). She considers him her friend by extension, like another big sibling.
To Jay and Ravi, if the teens are at the funeral home they're not fucking off in the woods. So that's a good thing.
Grace on the other hand considers Ravi part her kid's friend and part a colleague (of sorts). She likes him much more as her kid's friend than she does as a colleague lmao. He's deeply annoying to work with.
Ravi 100% has had dinner with the Jones family. Not often, but it happens, and it's always a silly affair.
