There's no form of healing magic truly devoid of side effects and alternate usages... but this is a bit much, isn't it?

One of the world's greatest healers, able to cure ailments nobody else can manage! Provided you don't mind that it feels like something is growing into your body and tearing it apart, or that she has a vague yet constant aura of Wrongness despite the dozens of wards stacked up to hide it and smells like rot, or that she could definitely use this same magic to fuck you up physiologically beyond literally all repair.

But hey, you can't argue with results, and by all accounts she has a genuine, legitimate commitment to helping others.

I've gotten a lot more used to drawing this terrible old lady. Her healing magic isn't actually necromancy or some sinister demonic deal, but it is heavily based in consciously manipulating and altering how someone's body works and there's all sorts of fucked up things you can do with that. She hasn't really taught much of it to other people because the dangerous stuff is much easier than the healing and it's hard to defend against. Also because you literally can't know both it and normal healing magic at the same time, probably.

Some of her intimidating aura also comes from the fact that she's a questionably made pseudo-undead creature, which she also goes to great lengths to hide. Most of those magic pendants and such are usually buried under more clothing, and she's definitely got more on her.

lovely normal healer who would never do anything wrong ignore the fact that she smells like rot and has a constant aura of mild dread hanging around her and her healing magic feels like having worms under your skin it's fiiine
