Happy Anniversary, Dinosaur/CTX!
“Get in losers, we’re going to grab the iguanodon and get out before that asteroid hits. Let’s roll!”
HELLO THERE! Disney dream complete getting a picture in front of The Dino Institute. I kind of miss the days of being a paleontologist but forever thankful of where I'm at right now. Oh and I can confidently say we did not make it because we got evacuated right at the end. Before Dr. Seeker could have hope of us making it, "they're not gonna make it" was true. Best day ever.

In many ways, Stevens is like any other person you could come to meet in the Kingdom. He's sharp, and funny, and not at all confident enough in his own abilities. But there's something so utterly otherworldly about him. He's written code with technology eons more advanced than anything Grant's ever seen in his life. He sees the earth itself in a completely different way. He tends to space dragons. He rocketed himself into the sky the four-and-some-change lightyears away to do it. And every so often, he drops some completely confounding artifact of his insane, interstellar existence into Grant's lap. The first one was a flask. Today, it's this sticky note.

"Well, who's the V.I.P.?"
"I'm afraid that information is need-to-know."
"Who would I even tell?"
"Any of those College Program children you've grown so attached to."
"Come on, after all of our time together?" Even without an audience, Grant crosses his heart. "Dr. Marsh. You have my word."
She sighs irritatedly. He's very used to her making that sound at him.
"A Doctor Henry Jones Junior," she finally answers. "Archeologist of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers."
"No way. Like, Indy?"
An even more irritated sigh. "You're familiar."

Chapter 3 of my slowburn crack-taken-seriously Dr. Seeker/Dr. Stevens fic is up for absolutely no one except me, maybe the Plot will actually start next chapter
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Memories of that party about a month back trickle in, blurred a bit by the influence of mind-altering substances. The pieces come together eventually. This is Doctor Grant Seeker, your friendly paleontologist and a hell of a loudmouth, if he does say so himself. They'd sat in that courtyard for what must have been at least an hour, talking about God-knows-what, including but not limited to Liopleurodons, condiment rankings, constellations, and the ethics of prehistoric time travel.
And he's fairly certain that's all that happened. He just hadn't thought about when he'd see him again, if at all.
Well, it's now.
