birthday presents from peko

due to having spent her entire life working for the mafia, peko lacked some common knowledge for things she never got to experience the way normal people did

whenever it was the birthday of fuyuhiko or natsumi, they received hundreds of presents and peko just thought that this was the norm

so when she started dating you and your birthday came up, peko started to work even more, to gather the money for all those birthday presents

when she got a look at your wishlist, instead of picking just one of the presents from it, she bought every single item on the list!

when your birthday came up and she saw your friends arrive at your house with just one small present on them, she slowly started to suspect something was wrong

either they didn't care about you enough to get you more or she had bought a bit too many

as peko carried all the presents inside your apartment, needing to go back to her car multiple times to get them all, she started to notice everyone staring at her

once she had placed all presents on the designated table (as well as underneath it and beside it, due to the lack of free space) and you entered the room, she realized that perhaps she had bought a bit too many

when she saw your surprised face, staring at the mountain of presents, peko awkwardly looked away, only to turn to face you again once she heard you laughing

"are they all for me…? from whom are they?" you asked amused and peko awkwardly raised her hand without saying a word

you stepped closer towards peko, grabbing her hand and smiled at her

"i appreciate all the presents, but you didn't need to get me that many, peko. but still, thank you! when your birthday comes around, i'll make sure to get you just as many as you got me~"
