Rumors spread. People speculate if you're seeing a woman sitting courtside beside you at a game. If they followed your gaze in the photo, they would know: your sights were never set on her.
"Alright, enough of that."
Plucking the phone from your hand, your empty palm is replaced by a cup of freshly-made tea. Annie plops down on the chaise across from you, button down loosened to her chest. You stare. It's inevitable.
"At least she's cute," she says like it's a joke.
Your head shakes. "Not my type."
"Then who is?" Annie retorts without thinking.
Your eyes raise.
