new flight rising ancient is making me question things about my dragonself (spoilers beneath the cut)
Something about this is COMPELLING and making me go "AH!!! ME!!!" But I don't know WHAT

Shout out to the dragons out there that aren't conventionally "badass". The ones with small bodies, the scavengers, the herbivores. The ones more prone to flight than fight. "Dragon" is an extremely diverse label and there are far more ecological niches to fill than apex predator.
being culture is:
I'm a dragon but Idk what type and I don't really care
Me fr!
The heartedness discussion has been interesting. Can I really just...be a dragon or big cat without worrying about a more specific label for these feelings? I entered the community calling myself dragonkin but I felt very fake/inauthentic because it was something I was doing for the species euphoria of it rather than having kin memories/an established pre-Earth identity I was trying to discover. I felt like a ""wishkin"".
Though the fact I would undergo extensive body modification to become more outwardly draconic in a heartbeat if it wouldn't make remaining fed and sheltered difficult in this shit society where we don't actually own our bodies is maybe...indicative.
Sometimes I worry that im not actually a dragon and am a dragon rider instead
