I couldn't stop thinking about this show since I finished it (literally four days ago) so I alredy started a rewatch for the exact purpose of catching more details like this

thinking about when Ed says "I don't feel fear" to the crew in S01E06 of Our Flag Means Death. In a way it's true, he faces dangers, he fights. But we know that's not true. He's afraid to die, for one. He's afraid that even after his death the image of Blackbeard will prevail. And by the end of the episode we find out he's afraid to kill and he's afraid that he's a bad person. This fear is killing him from the inside.
He says "Fear is the most powerfull emotion". Not only does he use that for his own benefit, Blackbeard's image itself instills fear (as mentioned in ep.4 and said in ep.6). But the thing is that everyone thinks that if you kill, you are fearless when in Blackbeard's case, it's the opposite. The act of killing didn't come from fearlessness and didn't end his fears.
He is not fearless. He hides his fears behind fearlessness

How I imagined The Magnus Archives characters before seeing the fan(on) art
preamble: I'm a new listener, I started the series about a couple of months ago and am now on episode 190. But I had no connections to the fan community, so I had no clue what the commonly agreed upon physical traits of each of them were. I don't imagine many details (they're blobs of shape in my mind) but here are some that I did (it's mostly hair):
Jonathan Sims: he was the only character of who's fanon appearance I knew. As I listen, I don't reaally imagine him as that but he does have big blue under-eye bags and dishevelled hair (of unclear length, maybe an overgrown short regular men's cut) maybe of 'mousy'/cool-toned/greyish brown colour. and he wears shirts that he doesn't tuck into his pants. Very tall
Martin: Also tall but not taller than Jon. one of those tall people that seem like they don't know their proportions / a little clumsy. seems like he doesn't eat enough, visually looks a little fragile, like one wrong move could snap him in half.
Tim: maybe beach blond hair? a lowkey surfer or lowkey hipster look, sun-kissed and such (even though he doesn't surf and would be offended if you suggested that)
Daisy: pitch black and very shiny hair that she keeps in a ponytail
Georgie: lowkey just imagined Georgie from Loveless (a book by Alice Oseman). Straight pale blond hair, potentially big cheeks or round face? short or short-medium height
even though smth about how Jane Prentiss's looked was mentioned in the show, I forgot about it immediately. In her corrupted form to me she's a mix between Aunt Marge and dead Bathilda Bagshot from the Harry Potter movies (2nd and 7th respectively)
Does Jim have a brother? In the flashback there is another kid that is with them, witnessing the murder by Siette Gattos or whatever they're called. Who is that kid??
