His mother had gone out on a date with her new boyfriend. So he was stuck babysitting his sister for the day which normally wasn’t so bad but she had left to go to a friend’s house and wouldn’t be back for an hour or two. So that left him lying down on his bed as he took a nap. He had recently been working nonstop so any breaks from work usually resulted in him sleeping. Jack had been asleep for nearly an hour when someone’s singing gently woke him. He sat up, rubbing his eyes as he tried to figure out where the singing was coming from. Jack rolled off his bed, his bare feet slapping against the floor as he followed the sound to the window. He opened it and saw Hiccup standing underneath it. Jacks face instantly reddened as he listened to the words that were being sung to him. "D-didnt know ya could sing," he yelled out. "What's the name of the song? Course don't stop singing on my account. Ya can continue." He was sure his face had never been redder then at this moment.

Halloween Party

After his graduation, Jack’s life had gotten pretty busy. Too busy that he hadn’t been able to spend much time with Hiccup. Between his two jobs and school, it was just too much for him to manage at times. It was definitely something that bothered him. After all he didn’t want Hiccup to feel neglected, or look for someone else. Which was why he made sure to have his day off on Halloween. Hiccup wanted him to go to a party with him at his school, and by God he was going. Luckily Aster took his shift at the diner, and Tooth traded shifts with him at the ice cream parlour so everything was all set.

He got home early from school, and dressed himself up as the classic joker, complete with green hair and everything. Jack was a little nervous, after all he would be meeting Hiccup’s friends and this was his first time going to a school party. He made sure his costume was fine before saying good-bye to his mom and heading out the door. Considering his mother needed the car for tonight, he was left on taking the bus. He and Hiccup decided that they would meet up outside of the school. Jack found himself fiddling with his sleeves before he forced himself to stop as the bus sped down the street.

Graduation

@dragcntraining It was finally here, the day even he had doubted would ever come. Jack was currently all dressed up in his cap and gown. Ironically the colors were dark blue, which was his favorite color. Since he loved any type of blue. The ceremony was held outside, chairs were already set up for people to sit. And even though he was supposed to be in the front already. He wanted to see Hiccup first. Which was what he had finished telling his mother and sister who were standing next to him.

Hiccup was in the hospital.

Those were the only words that he heard as the phone dropped from his hand to the ground. Smacking against the floor with a thud. He vaguely noticed that the person on the other end was still talking, their tiny voice could still be heard pouring out of the mouth piece. But honestly he didn't care too much for  whatever else they had to say. Hiccup was in the hospital. Images of the boy lying in the bed with tubes sticking out of his arm flashed across his mind. He had to get to him; now. Jack was already out the door, shouting to his mother and sister that he would be back soon. Though doubtful all the same that they had heard him. He lunged himself inside the car, not even remembering to call his patrol officer to let them know where he was going to be. Only one thought kept echoing inside his mind as he sped towards the hospital.

"Please don't let it be serious. Please don't let it be serious. Please let him be okay." He repeated these words over and over, a part of him intending it to be a sort of prayer to a God that usually spent much of it's time ignoring Jack. But hoping that maybe they'll listen to him this time. Maybe they'll let Hiccup be okay. At least Jack hoped so as fear and dread started to twist around in his stomach.

@dragcntraining His mother didn’t play fair at all. The one time he was able to meet the guy she was currently dating and it was on his way out the door to go pick up Hiccup. Jack wouldn’t put it past her if she had even timed it like that. He debated momentarily to cancel his plans and stay. But he really did wanted to spend the day with Hiccup. He bit his lip at the door but was unable to think about it further since his mother pretty much shoved him out. A sigh escaped his lips before he walked over to the car and climbed inside. He placed the small basket down gently on the seat next to him. Jack wasn’t much of a cook by any means, and he had spent the past few weeks nearly burning the house down trying to prepare something for today. Eventually he had settled on just buying two sandwiches. Actually the only thing he had managed to make was a chocolate cake for Hiccup. And he honestly hoped it was at least decent. He drove all the way over to Hiccup’s house, his fingers drumming the wheel in excitement. When he finally arrived, he practically jumped out of the car before walking up to the door. His hand knocked  as he waited, legs starting to bounce before he realized that he probably should have dressed up a little nicer. Jack currently had on ripped jeans and his same old blue hoodie. Honestly, what had he been thinking?

Sugar Gliders

Hiccup had asked him if he could come over and help set up some things they needed for the new pets. Although he had no idea what Sugar Gliders were, he was more then happy to spend the day with Hiccup. So he had taken the car and driven himself over. Since today happened to be the day his mother was off work, she had allowed him to take it. Jack had just recently taken the test to get his drivers permit which he passed after his third try. Now it was just a matter of practicing, unfortunately driving was still something he was getting used to. He managed to drive the car over the curb before backing out and trying to park again. He eventually was able to do it, though it still ended up being not that great, as he climbed out.

Jack looked over letting out a groan, he still had a lot to learn. Though technically he was suppose to be driving with someone else who did have a drivers license and was over the age of twenty-one, something he actually did the first couple of times he had ever driven. He and his mother came to the conclusion that as long as he didn't get pulled over and had learned the basics which he did, that he was free to drive on his own for practice. Jack pocketed the keys before walking up to the door and knocking.

New Years Eve

So here he was, dressed in a red button down shirt, wearing a black tie, and black pants. Yup, what could go wrong with this look? Jack groaned at himself again as he stood outside Hiccup's door with a plate of chocolate chip cookies in hand. His mother have decided that he shouldn't just show up with nothing and so he had brought this. Red wasn't usually a color he wore often, and he hated to wear ties, but he figured he might as well look presentable. Considering Hiccup's entire family was going to be here. It was a little different when he and Hiccup have been friends. But now they were boyfriends, and he hadn't seen Hiccup's family since they started dating. "Should be fun," he muttered, before he knocked.

dragon wishes || cassie & hiccup

      As Cassie hurtled through space on her shooting star she kept her eyes closed, probably not the smartest idea, but she was a bit of a chicken at times, and anything thrilling had a tendency to frighten the young starling. The star had veered off course, and while normally it would have been a planned, safe route that wasn’t her luck. She broke through Wishworld’s (Earth’s) atmosphere, zooming through the night sky, and anyone who might have seen the spectacle would simply assume it was just a random shooting star spiraling across the heavens.

      She finally was brave enough to open her eyes and what she saw terrified her. This wasn’t Wishworld! If it was, it must have been in a different time and place...just her luck... the star wooshed past a settlement of sorts and finally crashed into a nearby forest launching Cassie right off of it and onto the ground with a loud thud. 

     The starling sat up and looked around...it was so dark...she hated the dark. The pearly pinkish glow that came from her was the only thing illuminating anything around her. She grabbed the remnants of her shooting star and using her starling magic she shrunk it down so it was small enough to fit in her pocket. Maybe...despite the time and place...this was meant to be the place in where she’d find her wishling, the one person she was sent to grant a wish for.

     A rustling noise startled the young girl and she let out a squeak before scrambling behind a tree for cover, not that it really helped for her glow could be seen from behind the tree anyway...

     She peeked out from behind the tree, soft pink eyes in search for whatever made the noise. “H-hello?” she called out in a scared tone wondering if that was a mistake or not.
