And Han Solo ist ready for FedCon too! Ok, the hair is not correct and the stripes at the pants are still missing (there is a five hours train journey tomorrow, thats means enough time to sew them on ;) ) but yes, everything is finished now!
Some little things are still to do (sew in the shoulder pads, build the earrings and improve the hairstyle) but apart from this - Lyta ist ready for FedCon!
Today we show you something of David's work. He has recreated Frodo's Mithril-chain mail. The chain mail consists of a mesh of approximately 130,000 stainless steel rings (OSH requirements) and was provided with a jewelery border. The golden curls are made of copper wire and tin. Finally the border was decorated with 777 glass stones - so tiny that sometimes the needle barely went through. All of them were individually knotted with a thread. For more details, we have made extra macro shots.
