Khamira - Costume build description This was my video entry for the Dragoncon 2020 Friday night costume contest. The video was submitted for the judges which explained the costume and how it was made.

So DragonCon Goes Virtual had a block of airtime to fill after their Friday Night Costume Contest, so they did an interview with Eddie McClintock from Warehouse 13, and he related a story about a fan interaction he had on the Walk of Fame on one of his first times at DragonCon, which lead to him becoming one of the con's biggest huggers.

As he's telling the story, enough of the details begin to sound familiar enough that I suspect that it may have been my Metamour who was the fan he interacted with.

Despite Dragoncon 2020 being cancelled, I can’t help but be excited to see how Goes Virtual turns out. I know I’ll be watching, how about you?

Idk who needs to hear this here on Tumblr but Dragoncon Atlanta 2020 has offically been canceled and might go digital

I don't have much info right now, we'll end up learning a little more later on. As far as I know they're still going to mail out badges for people's collection and anyone who purchased a membership will have said membership roll over to next year. I'll give more updates as I learn them.

I am making The Book of Hamunaptra from The Mummy to go along with my Evelyn “I’m a Librarian” Carnahan for DragonCon.

I’m using a USPS shipping box as the base. After cutting all the sides off I measured how much overhang I wanted and trimmed them to fit. Next step will be covering it with black craft foam.

Duck Dodgers Like You've Never Seen Him Before

Every year at DragonCon, their Sunday night Masquerade cosplay skit contest requires some time for the Judges to confer and deliberate over the winners in each category. To fill this time, they've traditionally played a Looney Tunes Daffy Duck “Duck Rogers” cartoon.

This was fine when it was just shown to a convention hotel ballroom audience (and broadcast via closed-circuit television to all the rooms in the various host hotels). They continued to get away with it when they opened up a subscription for convention badge holders to spend a little extra to be able to stream DragonConTV over any internet connected device.

But this year the convention went virtual, with multiple free streams across various platforms. So they had to modify the tradition:
