DMMD nightmare headcanons

Aoba- Rarely has nightmares, if he does it’s usually about him messing up while using Scrap on someone close to him, like he did with Mizuki. 

Koujaku- Often has nightmares. They’re usually about either what happened in the past with his mother or something happening with him losing control and hurting someone else close to him. When he wakes up he needs a little while to sit by himself or with one other person to calm down. 

Noiz- Never remembers much about his nightmares, just wakes up in the middle of the night feeling really unsettled. Often lays in bed awake afterwords trying to remember what happened in that dream because maybe then he’ll be able to go back to sleep. 

Clear- Doesn’t really sleep lmao but sometimes tries to imagine what having a nightmare would be like

Mink- Has a nightmare almost every night and is used to them by now. He mostly has flashbacks of his past. A lot of the people he cared about show up in his nightmares. He usually doesn’t go back to sleep once he wakes up from a nightmare.

Ren- Once in Sei’s body he begins to have nightmares every so often which is really weird for him because he’s not used to them. Most of his are about Aoba not caring about him anymore or him failing to protect him. If he wakes up in the middle of the night with a nightmare, Aoba will usually also wake up and play with his hair until he goes back to sleep. 

Sei- Doesn’t have nightmares as often as you might think, usually is under and anesthetic-induced sleep which doesn’t let him dream much. His brain is generally also pretty exhausted so there’s not much energy left for nightmares, but when he does have them, they’re more things about people doing whatever they want with him. 

Mizuki- Rarely had nightmares before Morphine kidnapped him but after all that, he gets them sometimes. Mainly about being trapped by Morphine again, his nightmares last usually the whole night and end up with him wanting/needing some company from a friend or someone else close to him so that he doesn’t feel alone again. 

Virus- Has very vivid nightmares of back when he and Trip were kids stuck being used as lab rats. He talks in his sleep, so when he has nightmares, Trip can hear and go over to comfort him. When woken from a nightmare, he’s very clingy but still very proud so in the morning he just pretends that the night before never happened. 

Trip- Never remembers his dreams at all and hardly wakes up for them during the night either. Doesn’t really concern himself with trying to remember his dreams because he thinks that there’s so many better things to do. Like waste his time online or playing video games.
