Watched Chernobyl on HBO. Highly recommend if you havent had the chance to check it out. Now watching the "You might also like" suggestion Chernobyl: The Lost Tapes, which is apparently mostly old footage found after the dissolution of the soviet union. So far so good. Gorbachev was portrayed in the the Mini Series, and now I see footage of him giving a speech pre-chernobyl and I made myself cackle.

G: "We will adopt the five-year plan to increase nuclear energy. It is about how the soviet union will enter the 21st century." Me: Spoiler alert, it doesn't! HA!

ok! one day, anna and i were having a pleasant conversation (i promise i tried to get the screenshots but i was NOT scrolling through like a good two months of messages). all of a sudden, i had an idea! the exchange went something like this:

me: hey anna i just thought of a new word

anna: hit me

me: yam!

anna: i hate to break it to you, but that’s already a word.

me: no, but like, it’s really a combination of the words yum and yam so if you ate a good yam, you could say “yam!”

anna: hey alex what the fuck? also, yams aren’t even good!
