I devoured House of Leaves in eleven days, and drew this in the following two days. What an incredible book. Johnny Truant is such a fascinating character, I loved witnessing his slow descent into madness all while being an awfully unreliable narrator.

Happy 25th anniversary, W.I.T.C.H.!!

W.I.T.C.H. was one of my very first comics, my main obsession throughout my childhood and pre-teen years, and what first inspired me to try and draw by copying my favourite panels. It was special to me, and it still is: the girls were my best friends when I was alone, the articles of the magazine were my window to the world when I was cooped up in my bedroom, and their magic was my spark of hope for something different, something more, than my bleak daily life.

My favourite has always been Cornelia. She was everything I wasn't, and everything I wished to be: beautiful, smart, popular, talented, magical. This is a small tribute, but I'd like to think that 10-year-old me would be delighted at how far we've made it.
