So I entered a drawing contest called “Epic Character” for Corel. I don’t have high hopes of winning, but it was something out of my comfort zone for me. I want to challenge myself more so I forced myself to enter.

I ended up submitting this illustration and gave a description about her. 

This is Quinn who is part of a story I am developing. She uses soul magic which she is able to conjure her spells and attacks. Since she uses soul magic, she is able to contact and capture roaming spirits to deliver them to their final resting place on an island. She is sometimes doubtful of herself,but she does her best to keep herself positive and sometimes surprises herself. She is quick-thinking and does her best to adapt to her situations. She has a family, but has no idea about their whereabouts.

I’m going to try and do this for the two main characters of the story I am developing!

This is an illustration I did for the Epic Character Contest and it pretty much killed me as it’s my first character illustration and I was like a blind man in a maze trying to guess my way through.
