This week's Stitchy Snippets post with Julia takes us to the British Royal School of Needlework and features some lovely examples of drawn thread!
Drawn Thread Heart
The finished piece with its withdrawn fancy hem. Plus some added iridescent sequins to catch the light. So satisfying!
Drawn thread work in February
This is a lovely technique but it demands attention and careful counting. The variegated thread gives it an extra dimension. We used a heart motif as it was almost Saint Valentine’s day! Shirley’s little helper was on hand to ensure the quality of the work.
