2. The Frog Witch

Role: Mage

13. Creepy Crawlers

There was a cave in. You’re separated from the rest of your party. Hearing scurrying foot steps you light a torch and find yourself surrounded in a sea of creepy crawlers. They part, keeping distance from the light, allowing you to continue deeper into the dungeon.

I’d just watched Slither for the first time before drawing this, and I hate silverfish and centipedes just as much as I hate spiders, so this had me super anxious.

15. Parsel Tongue

You find your party members in the dungeon boss chambers, turned to stone. A Medusa slithers out, her hair tendrils hissing at you. To both of your surprise her powers have no effect and you don’t become another statue in her collection. You’re a pumpkin. You don’t actually have eyes.

24. Twisted Thorns

Role: Boss. Queen’s Guard.

Watch out! Thorn is an officer in the Queen’s Guard. They use their whip as a ranged attack and to pull you in close to deal damage with their spines. They’re weak to fire and axes.

Real talk, I dunno if I’ve got the time for more involved illustrations of scenes. So for now I’m thinking of finishing off the rest of drawtober/inktober with boss designs. Sorry if you stayed for the other stuff!

18. Harpy’s Nest

The bounty board asked brave adventurers to go pick up some eggs from the waypoint marked on your map. It conveniently forgot to mention that the eggs you are collecting belong to the angry harpy that’s watching from above...
