Dreadmoor definitely looks like it’s taken some inspiration from Dredge but that’s not a bad thing. It’s just been announced and is planned for a PC launch later this year.

Penne Visits Dreadmoor, Part 1: The Drowned Collective, the Sinking Collective, and Venomgrass Field.
Seems the Chua could really use some lessons in wetland construction. Also, Penne gets her own field command~

Just some Eldan screenshot spam from running around Dreadmoor with @prfoundlysuperengineer last night. Seeker and I both feel awfully cheated. Both the bio-facility and the logic temple are massive installations, incredible to explore. And so many of the design elements here I would have snatched up in a moment for housing if they were offered as decor.
(Click for not-blurry shots, tumblr is stupid and fuzzing them out)
Recently i visited Murkmire and Dreadmoor.Beautiful places, even if they look like abandoned.
DREADMOOR
Penne Visits Dreadmoor, Part 2: The Haunted Fen and Wickwood Village.
There are strange, plant-like fleshy pods in Dreadmoor that are suspiciously sized and shaped like Aurin houses without rooves. And they’re found exclusively scattered around the outskirts of an Aurin village, nowhere else in the game.
The Aurin and Dreg communities they’re near show no signs of concern or hostility towards the pods, but this area does have a giant Chua electric fence lining to to divide it from the river known as the Spillway. And on the other side of the Spillway is some Chua territory called the Blight, where they’ve been firebombing and cutting down all the forestry. But there’s no sign of the pods anywhere on that side of the Spillway, so I imagine the two things are unrelated.
I kinda wanna ask Pappy or Gary about it, but they might have NDAs blocking them from answering that kinda question.

GDC Festival of Gaming IMPRESSIONS (2026): Dreadmoor
Publisher: Digital Vortex Entertainment Platform(s): PC (Steam) Release Date: Q4 2026 X / Discord DREADMOOR bills itself as a post-apocalyptic, first-person fishing game, and it succeeded on both fronts when I demoed it at GDC 2026. I played roughly 30 minutes of the game, starting from the beginning, and I found myself in a bayou fit for exploration. There is a simple but fun gameplay loop at…
