You've already seen Derek but here is Liam, I've redesigned him since he looked WAY too much to Akira Fudo but now he looks like a weird Latinamerican-Sam or Dean winchester who wears leather instead of jeans 💀
In my story with them, Righteous men are born from reapers who fell in love with a human they refused to "kill" (Reapers don't actually kill, they separate souls from bodies when the later decays, or when the soul is running out of spirit, the cosmic energy). Most of righteous men are tied up to a reaper until they fullfill their righteous duty despite not knowing what it is. The reaper's purpose is to "mow" the path of the righteous man, this meaning that if needed, those close to them but that interfere with their duty would be in danger or die.
Reapers are not in control of their bodies, they are tied by the red thread of destiny, with their eyes, ears, mouth and brain sewed, since their judgement can't interfere (See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil, think no evil... do no evil)
Derek is a driachota, a distant relative of angels, born from them and celtic deities. Driaochtas are their own species, they are similar to witches with the difference that their powers are celestial and connected to Heaven, like having their own grace or angelic aura. There are times a driaochta could be born a dormant angel, there is no easy way to tell, just a sudden awakening that could potentially kill them if not helped by fellow driaochtas and angels.
Derek awakened after their father removed a curse from himself, one that prevented him from being close to those he loved otherwise they could die/be in danger (similar to the righteous man curse), for Derek's parents it was the most traumatic experience when their child started vomiting black goo, not only because of the awakening but because Derek's wings were growing inwards and were damaging their body, they had to cut their back to allow the wings to come out and after that, their body healed and became fully an angel, but it was the most painful thing the three of them experienced.
Liam is stupidly in love with Derek, Derek doesn't want to fall in love (Secretly afraid they may die like the angels they see in fiction)
