Look I’m an American-hating commie as much as any of us on here but it’s deeply sad that this year is a significant birthday for our country and could’ve been an opportunity to celebrate the vast cultures and subcultures across the states (all founded on indigenous and immigrant practices) but how symbolically fitting that instead we’re basking in our corruption and global “power” (bullying at best, blatant oppression at worst) which the majority of us are disgusted by but we’ve created a system where the citizens have no power so we end up steeped in despair, hopelessness, and complacency. Anyways excited to have a four day weekend
