Story Event: The Easter Incident, and Everything Afterwards
Okay, so it's been a bit of time since this happened, and work has been a bit draining, so sorry that I've taken so long with this. However, this is going to be a brief writeup on the main events that have happened since a house party Tails threw on Easter.
All of this has taken place on Discord between myself, @red-eclipse, @timeclipsed / @dreamingofeos and @sorrowfulsidekick.
Warning: This is an exceedingly long post. View at your own risk. The two main points are this - Tails now has four tails and a new ability, and Fleetway Super Sonic has been introduced into the AU.

On Easter this year, Tails offered his house to a big get-together with his friends and family. Even with the Robotnik from Freedom Planet harassing this universe, and tears in the sky coming from the merging of both Tails and Chronos' dimensions, they didn't want to cancel the plans because this was going to be a big chance for all of the children in each family, mainly Sonic and Amy's kids, Knuckles and Rouge's kids and Kit, to all enjoy themselves.
Things were going off without a hitch for a good while, and Kit was even the one to get the most eggs in the Easter Egg Hunt. However, Chronos had been having small flashes of his sickness all day, trying to play it off like he was fine. However as he was asked to get something for Sonic from the house, it would eventually be too much for him to handle, causing him to collapse on the way back to the yard.
Everyone ended up rushing to his side. Cream being medically trained was one of the first on the scene, with Tails, Skyros and Kit not far behind. Another one to realize what was happening though was Shadow. He's very familiar with this, and gets frustrated with Tails because he wasn't informed about this. Shadow had started an NIDS research foundation and would have been willing to help with Chronos' condition... but Tails had kept it a secret at Chronos' request.
An argument between Tails and Shadow breaks out. Shadow wanted to help, both because he was familiar with the condition and because Chronos is close to his adopted son, Skyros (the Silver of this dimension), so he has an interest in helping Chronos. Tails fights against this because he's already working to help Chronos and was asked to keep his condition a secret, something he had wished to uphold.
With tempers high and Tails dealing with his own issues(which will be mentioned below), Tails had said something in the heat of the moment that has set Shadow off. In response, Shadow made a move to attack Tails with an uppercut to the gut... but Chronos, who had been trying to get up and brush off everyone's concerns about him, decided it was his time to pay Tails back for his efforts, taking the hit instead.
Up until this point, Tails had been starting to feel a fourth tail come in from his kitsune blood. This had come with growing pains as they always did, with him feeling the tail there but not being able to utilize it. The power it was associated with was a mental one which, on occasion, would also cause Tails' own mind to become... hazy. He'd lash out, he would be more forgetful, and would all around just be a bit harder to deal with. In the moment he was arguing with Shadow, these pains would start to creep up yet again, causing him to insult Shadow personally.
"I don't need the help of someone who clearly has forgotten which side he was on. Or do you wear the coat of your sister's killers ironically?"
That hit caused a dozen things to happen all at once. On a more personal scale, Tails lost control of himself in his anger. This caused a sudden surge in power, with his fourth tail suddenly sprouting and granting him access to a new ability, dubbed Brainshock. It's essentially a mental ability that, at the moment, really only has use in massively disorienting his target. This gave him the upper hand, allowing him to beat Shadow down in response.
Tails would eventually come to his senses and, despite promising Chronos he wouldn't have to deal with medical facilities again, had to get Chronos entered into emergency surgery. Tails would remain at the hospital until he was released.
On a larger scale, the attack from Shadow accelerated the dimensional merge. Chronos, and the residents of Freedom Planet as a whole, are massively imbued with Chaos Energy, and when Shadow struck him, it caused a powerful enough surge of energy to cause even more problems. Among them was Proto, the "Blaze" from timeclipsed's Sol dimension, who had ended up trading places with Chronos.
Tails would eventually figure out that Chronos wasn't in the hospital anymore, having been swapped out for Proto, who had shapeshifted into him. After a confrontation in the hospital, she would soon reveal that she had sent Chronos out to gather information on various sites around the world that had started to transplant themselves from Freedom Planet into Tails' world, most of which seemingly being Chao Gardens. Investigation is still ongoing... though there have been hiccups.
The other major event to happen is that there was the discovery of an underground civilization, which only came to light after the events of the attack on Easter because the sudden urge in Chaos Energy caused a large crevice to open up. This allowed Sonic, or rather the remnants of Sonic's Super Form, to escape from his underground prison.
When Sonic had lost his Super Form after the incident that lost Tails his arm, it had literally separated itself from his being and formed another being entirely. This would be in the form of a child who was taken in by one Lord Sidewinder, a character from the Fleetway comics run, before he would be trapped underground.
When "Super Sonic" came to the surface, his presence was announced with a random attack against Metal Sonic and Sage, who had both been out of trouble for years. Showing up at Tails' door, Chronos fixed Metal Sonic before deciding to try and get to the bottom of things. This, as well as a few other scattered events, would lead to the group meeting "Super Sonic", said Sonic harassing Chronos into being "his Tails", and the two eventually coming up with a plan to find Sidewinder and bring him to justice.
This plan never really came to fruition however, as Chronos had intended to go alone with nobody but Super Sonic, even fighting for the chance to do it himself, however after a few days of radio silence and jammed signals blocking calls upon arriving at the base, Skyros had arrived to try and help Chronos... which just caused Chronos to leave.
Sidewinder is still at large, but is also just really pissed off at Chronos for essentially ignoring him and just going home. He is now just an extremely petty, extremely old man.

I'll start by saying that I adore Jackie so very much. I remember seeing their @timeclipsed blog and tried seeing if Pom would get them to notice me ... because I wanted to be their friend so bad. And they mean so much to me. I always feel like I'm annoying them any time I hit them up on discord. But their portrayal of Chronos, Sonic and all their other muses I eat up completely. I adore seeing any and all of them on my dash along with getting the chance at interacting. FROM A DISTANCE I'M SHAKING JACKIE BECAUSE they got me SOOO into the idea of a king/jester troupe for our ship and I've been wallowing ever since not being able to do more. 🥺 But life happens, inspiration fluctuates and I hope for the day we can do more with the idea. ❤️💙 Jackie is an absolute doll and I'd recommend anyone to follow them.
