ok i have this little darling and apple concept comic thingy from when they were younger halfway done and i just wanna put my thoughts down cause all ive been doing while drawing this was sitting and thinking about them a lot lol

i love inserting preestablished characters from ever after high into more complicated fantasy settings cause i can give them fun designs AND its SO fun taking characters from a childrens franchise and enlarging their stories somehow, giving them unnecessary (but kinda nice to think about) backstories or just tales from the past. eahs world is complex enough by itself, which a lot of us in the fandom have spoken about, but with the limitations of this show being aimed at younger children i don't think we get enough space to fully explore what reality in that world would look like. i like to imagine them stumbling upon obstacles that are fully unfair in more ways that one and a world so beautifully right and so unrightly constricted one doesn't know what to think and,, i think that world exists in my mind only but it's still something that's fun to think about

this is an ambiguous and probably slightly stupid tangent seeing the comic im making isnt even centred around the world and setting but. it is in my head. apple sneak peek:

REALLY late to the party cause ive been insanely busy lately but i finally finished s4 of jwct and my god the ben and kenji scenes in the latter half of the season would have caused the benji fans on twitter back in the jwcc days to have an aneurysm. like??? this is just a fraction of what was going on hello?
