Fall out boy dream! I have no idea why but here it goes.
They were playing the baseball all star game. This...isn't really a concert, and so it makes no sense that that's what it was, but do with it. I had seats about ten rows back but the stadium was pretty empty so I moved up to front row and it was AMAZING.
But it was a weird show. It wasn't a fall out boy show. Like they didn't play any fall out boy songa. Actually they played songs that don't exist and were made up for the dream but in the dream I knew them and they were all like classic songs that people were going to know. Patrick's voice sounded incredible and he was working overtime, there was a lot of spectacle, but it was just odd. And the baseball game was being shown on Fox but there were all these skits with SNL people?? And there was a baseball game going on but it was like behind me because my seat was at the stage and every time there was an inning break they'd do another little performance.
The rest of the band was there but they kind of drifted away as the game went on and it was clearly Patrick's show but we all in my section of the stands were fall out boy fans and we were like, "this is *fine* but I wish it was a fall out boy concert."
At one point I was trying to get from one side of my section of seats to the other and the quickest way was to go around this wall and I was standing there and Patrick stump came walking by. And I was like "oh no am I not supposed to be over here?" And he was like "why? Because I'm here?" And I was like obviously yes lol. And I was like "I swear nobody stopped me or said anything, I'm just trying to get around to the other side" and he was like "it's fine." So I told him that he was doing a great job and he sounded great and then I said it must have been fun to get to do all the skits with the SNL players because it redeemed their SNL experience and he kind of made a face and was like "not really" but didn't elaborate but I felt bad.
Then security people showed up and were annoyed to find me there talking to him and he was like "relax, she's got old fall out boy merch in, she's cool" and I could tell my time was up but I was like "can I ask you one really quick question?" And he said "yes" and I was like "who told you that you couldn't play any fall out boy songs at this?" Which I acknowledge now that I'm awake isn't really a quick question lol. But he got really sad and rueful and said "no one did, I decided nobody wanted to hear us" and I was like "don't get me wrong, you're doing a great job, but I bet people would have liked to have heard Sugar."
And then he left so this was my weird pep talk conversation with Patrick stump hahaha idk what that was all about. Maybe *I* needed a pep talk and this is what my subconscious gave me???? Lol
