a/n: thought about a [ast d&d campaign i played with some friends where i tried to romance a drider that was trying to kill us and my first thought was ‘why the heck not write some hc’s for a drider widowmaker’.
You’d heard stories about the drider’s in the forest. About their chaotic nature and that the large monstrosities were meant to be killed on sight due to the actions of a few drider’s in ancient times.
But you never expected to find yourself tangled in the web of one so beautiful and kind.
Amelie is beautiful, only speaks in Elvish at first, only switching when she would chase you out or warn you that there were other things in the forest less kind than she.
You explain to her that you are a merchant, that the forest path is faster than taking a long way around to sell your goods, Amelia laughed at you. Calling you a greedy human who values money more than your own life.
Once she’s warmed up to you Amelia will meet you near the entrance of the forest, escorting you through it safely to sell your wears at the market in the next town and further into the city.
Amelie likes it when you bring her new meats to try, she does not leave the forest for fear of being hunted, so why leave such a safe and dark place for something that could be the end of her?
Has a small weakness for sparkly things, so when you give her something that sparkles the first time you see her follow it closely, not breaking eye contact and when you see how she takes such good care of it makes you happy knowing that she likes it.
Amelie will sometimes make small things to give to you or give you something. As a thank, you for being friends and not outing her to hunters, to which you say ‘how could anyone ever want to kill something so beautiful’ Amelie just quietly thanks you for saying something so sweet.
You find that you like sleeping in Amelia’s cave in her web more than you thought you would. Finding the drider’s comfortable weight next to you very soothing and helping you fall asleep quickly.
