Years and years of paint on the only art palette I have ever had. Starting from when I was around JR high aka grade 7-9 or start of high school grade 10 type age. So despite the washing or it ended up drying there, over the many years paint has just stacked. Now I'm an adult who is over twenty years old living at an apartment.

So I was doing some painting on some wood pieces. And during a break I noticed that some of the years paint peeling. So I took off what I could. Then I smacked and bent it a bit while also yanking on the parts. It took awhile but I got a lot of it off. My palette looks more like it used to now. And the pieces seen are only the big pieces/pieces from the holes. I just found myself in awe at how they looked as you can see all sorts of colour from years of using this to mix paint and to put paint on to use in paintings. It was worth the effort it took to get what I could out. Because to me it is so impressive and cool.

As my first arty post, here is an ‘Art vs The Artist’ post, with Fine Art made during my BA and MA :) I used to experiment with dried paint and slime, which made for some really interesting and unusual sculptures!
