In the end, I could use a friend (Drew/Fiona)
Drew looked up at the clock, hating his current living arrangement. It seemed that watching time tick away and repeatably recounting the ceiling tiles were just some of the things he found to help kill time. He wasn't sure how long he was going to be stuck at The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health but he hoped that his time there would be short lived. It seemed like they were doing their best to break him down and make him a new person. Eventually after several group sessions where Drew listened to people rant and rave about their own lives, something he wasn't fond of hearing since none of them mattered to him, he had earned the right to visitation. Drew sighed, thinking about how Katie still hadn't made the trip to visit him. It wasn't so much that he missed her, though he did, it was that he really missed Harlow and Mason. Looking around the building as Drew made his way to the waiting area by the main entrance, he figured it was best to keep the twins away from this place anyways. He sat down by the door, glancing up every time he heard the door open in hopes that it would reveal Fiona. Drew took his hand and brushed it through his hair, feeling like he was finally deemed crazy by the rest of the world by having to endure such a scenario.
I wonder if she's coming, Drew began to wonder to himself after sitting in the chair for what seemed like hours, though it was only a few minutes. Time seemed to stand still at The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and he wondered if he would be enslaved in the building for the rest of his exsistance. On the plus side, Drew didn't have to share a room with anyone though he did have to give up the luxury of a private bath since his washroom was adjutant to Mike's room. Mike was a twenty something year old with schizophrenia who had struck up somewhat of a friendship with Drew. At CAMH, he learned that mental illness wasn't something people choose. He also had begun to understood that perhaps there was something more to his behavior than he had previously let on. Drew couldn't blame cheating on Katie to a mental disorder but he understood that the suicidal tendencies and anxiety were something he currently had little control over. Hearing the door open, Drew glanced up again, "Fiona?" He called out, hoping that it was indeed her.
